If you have been victim of a terrorist attack you have rights with regard to compensation, protection and assistance and related to be part in the criminal proceedings against the offender.
These rights differ among the different Member States of the European Union (EU).
The objective of this section is twofold:

1. To determine the competent office in each country for the support to victims of terrorism where you can be informed of your rights.

2. To follow on the transposition of Directive on combating Terrorism, DIRECTIVE (EU) 2017/541 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 15 March 2017 on combating terrorism. In its articles 24, 25 and 26 the Directive foresees the PROVISIONS ON PROTECTION OF, SUPPORT TO, AND RIGHTS OF VICTIMS OF TERRORISM. The transposition of the Directive has to be done by September 2018 .
